Indian Air Force has provided some eligibility criteria of AFCAT 2020 along with the general notification. AFCAT 2020 eligibility criteria have some of the norms which need to be fulfilled before applying like age, nationality, educational qualification and various physical standards by the aspirants to appear successfully in the exam. For some posts, eligibility criteria may vary according to the requirement prescribed by the Indian Air Force.

Following is the list of the eligibility criteria which are provided by AFCAT 2020

Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT 2019 is provided below.

Age Limit

  1. a) Flying Branch

The aspirant’s age ought to be within 20 to 24 years as on 01st January 2019. Upper age limit for hopefuls having substantial and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed up to 26 years of age.

  1. b) Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches

Age should lie between 20 to 26 years as on 01st January 2019

Educational Qualification required for AFCAT 2019 -:

  • Nationality: Aspirant must be a resident of India

Educational Qualifications

  • Flying Branch: Aspirants ought to have passed with at least 60% of marks each in Physics and Math’s at 10+2 level and (a) done Graduation with least three years degree course in any discipline from a perceived University with at least 60% marks or equivalent.
  • BE/B Tech degree from a perceived University with at least 60% marks

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch

Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics)

  • Aspirants should have at least 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and at least four years degree graduation/incorporated post-graduation capability in Engineering/Technology from perceived University

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical)

  • Aspirants with at least 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and at least four years degree graduation/incorporated post-graduation capability in Engineering/Technology from perceived University.

Administration

  • Graduation in any discipline from a perceived University with at least 60% marks.

Logistics

  • Graduate Degree in any discipline from a perceived University with at least 60% marks.

Accounts

  • Com degree from a perceived University with at least 60% marks.

Meteorology

Post Graduate Degree in any Environmental Science/Science stream/ Statistics Computer Applications/Applied Physics/ Mathematics/Oceanography/Meteorology/Agricultural Meteorology/Geography/ Geo-material science/Environmental Biology/ Ecology and Environment/with least of 50% marks of all papers set up together
