Bachelor of Arts, (Honours) in Italian is an undergraduate course in Italian literature/ language which is provided by Department of Germanic and Romance Studies of Delhi University.
Originally known as Department of Modern European Languages, the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies (named in 1988) was established in 1948.
B.A. (Honours) programme in Italian was started along with French, German and Spanish in 2002.
Course Details: It’s a 4-year full-time programme consisting 8 semesters i.e. 2 semesters per year.
Eligibility: One needs to pass 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized college or Board.
Scope
Scopes after BA Hons in Italian are:
Translating and Interpreting to the Italian language in various Institutions as well as MNCs, Academics (pursuing higher studies like M.A or M. Phil or Ph.D. in Italian Language etc.), Professor of Italian language, Journalism or Language Dept.
Salary: 2.5 lakh – 7.5 lakh p.a.
