Lady Shri Ram College is the best among these colleges with excellent faculties and premier location, easily available conveyance facilities and many more.

Jesus and Mary College – The study environment is better here also, attending college regularly is required.

Miranda House is another good option among these.

Sri Venketeswara college – You would have no attendance issues and you would get an opportunity to explore other areas as well.

Course Details: It’s a 3-year full-time programme consisting 6 semesters i.e. 2 semesters/year.


Higher Secondary i.e. 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized college or Board.

Some colleges grant admission on the basis of marks scored in 10+2 exam whereas some colleges have provisions for an entrance exam to check candidates’ basic knowledge and its syllabus would be based on whatever you have read till class 12th.


There are many future scopes/aspects that you can choose from, after having a B.A. (Hons.) degree in Sociology. The main sectors are:

Fee Structure

It depends on the college you are getting admission to. Generally, it’s around 15000/- course but the range could vary with time and can go up to 2 lakh.
