Gateway College of Architecture & Design

Gateway College of Architecture and Design was initiated in 2008 by an architect Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal and his business partner Mr. H.P. Mangla. They were already well established in the field of education as they were running an international school in Sonipat and had been associated with both school and higher education earlier.

The initiation of this college was supported by Professor Anil Kumar a retired Dean of Deen Bandhu Chotu Ram Universitry of Science and Technology, Murthal who has been teaching architecture since 1975. This school of architecture was started with the intent of creating a model school using contemporary technology as teaching aid.

Courses :-

Gateway College of Architecture and Design was affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak till 2011-12.
From the session 2012-13 Gateway College of Architecture has been offering Five Year B.Architecture (3+2) programme with an intake of 120 seats affiliated to Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram university of Science and Technology, Murthal.

Facilities :-

The college is located in a well landscaped fully serviced campus with its own water supply, electrical back up and sewage disposal systems. There is a well furnished hostel and dining hall in the campus that caters to all the students who wish to stay on campus. With in the college there are smart classrooms cum studios with wi-fi projectors and wi-fi connection with the server. The library is unique as it offers a facility of both serious study and lounging facility for going through journals and fiction.

Admission Process :-


  • Pass in NATA exam i.e 80 marks out of 200.
  • 50 % marks in 10+2 with mathematics as compulsory subject.

Admission Process

Admission to the B.Architecture programme is based on the merit of marks obtained in National Aptitude Test in Architecture and School +2. The basic qualifications for admission are: No candidate with less than 50% marks in aggregate shall be admitted to the architecture course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as subjects of examination at the 10+2 level or 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks or International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination. All Admissions to Architecture degree course shall be subject to passing of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture or any other acceptable aptitude test. Admission to 80% of the seats is done by the Haryana State Counseling Society and the remaining by the college. This college has at present an annual intake of 120 in B.Architecture.
