Details for the eligibility criteria for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test 2018 – 2019.
Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSC/equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects – Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical/ Vocational subjects. In these subjects taken together, the candidates should have secured a minimum of 50 % marks (for General Category) and at least 45% marks (for reserved category and Persons with Disability candidates) belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and secured a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks (for General category) and at least 45% aggregate marks (for reserved/ backward category/ Persons with Disability) belonging to Maharashtra State only.
Must have passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognised university as defined by UGC with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (for General category) and at least 45% aggregate marks (for backward class/ Persons with Disability) belonging to Maharashtra State only. These candidates should have passed XII class with Mathematics as a subject
Age Limit: There was no age limit for appearing in MHT CET 2018. This means that there was no restriction about passing the qualifying examination in a particular year.

The questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and
- Higher Secondary Education.
- Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage
will be given to Std. XII curriculum while setting the question paper.
- There will be no Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at par with the JEE
(Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at
par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based.
- MHT-CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and
each paper will be of 100 marks. Details are as given below:
