Purulia Polytechnic offers Diploma course in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering. The duration of each of the course is 3 years. The annual intake in Civil Engineering is 90, for Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering it is 60, and for other branches, the annual intake is 60. The college aims to deliver quality education to the students of the institute through its esteemed faculty and advanced infrastructure. The faculties are industry experienced and help students in developing the required skill for the industry. The overall environment in the college is very energetic and welcoming. The college also has HI-Tech Langauge labs and a provision for Vocational Training.

Purulia Polytechnic Admission Procedure
- Seats are allotted for admission in the first year through JEXPO counselling.
- Students can take admission in the second year through lateral entry by qualifying VOCLET
Purulia Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria
- Students taking admission in the First Year must have a valid rank in JEXPO/VOCLET.
- Students applying through JEXPO Counselling must pass with at least 35% marks in Madhyamik or Equivalent Exam with English, Physical Science, Science and Maths as compulsory subjects.
- Students applying through VOCELT Counselling in the second year must pass with at least 35% marks in Higher Secondary or Equivalent Exam.
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The student must be at least 15 years old.
