Salbani Institute of Technology is a govenment college which provides diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The intake in each of the three courses is 60 students. The college has highly qualified and experienced faculties. The college has invested in infrastructure to build state of the art laboratories so that students can have good theoritical as well as practical grasp of the subject. The faculty to student ratio is very good which makes the learning process easier for the students and attention of the faculties is evenly divided.
The college also provides opportunities for students to show their talent and leadership skills through co curricular, extra curricular activities and sport tournaments. Admission in First Year:
Students can take admission in 75% of the approved seats through JEXPO Counselling and in remaining 25% of the approved seats through Management Quota.
Admission in Second Year:
Students can take admission in 10% of the the approved approved seats through VOCLET counselling

Students need to pass 10th standard with at least 35% marks. Mathematics, Physical Science and English are compulsory subjects.
Admission in Second Year:
Students can take admission in 10% of the the approved approved seats through VOCLET counselling
Candidates must pass (10+2) Examination from WBSCT&VE&SD (VED) or must have passed 2 years’ continuous course of ITI after Madhyamik or equivalent examinations.
