South Calcutta Polytechnic
South Calcutta Polytechnic, Kolkata popularly known as SCP is a polytechnic college with imparts diploma in five courses namely, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Technology. The duration for each course is around 3 years. The college has all the basic facilities for students. It also has a training and a placement cell. The institute hours are from Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday closed. Civil and Mechanical Engineering departments take 120 students in each batch whereas Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Technology and take 60 students.
The college has a invested well in infrastructure to provide all the required types of laboratories and workshops. The faculties are very helpful in guiding the students and solving industry based challanges with the students. The college promotes all kinds of actvities which results in the welfare of the student.

South Calcutta Polytechnic Admission Procedure
75% seats in each course are based on approved procedures of WBSCT & VE & SD i.e through Jexpo. 20% of this approved admission intake is reserved for student who qualify VOCLET.
The remaining 25% of the seats in each course is reserved for management quota.
South Calcutta Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed their 10th or equivalent examination with English, Science/Physical Science, and Mathematics from a recognized board with at least 35% aggregate marks in their 10th standard and qualify the Jexpo Exam for that year.
There is no upper age limit.

For students taking admission in First Year, fee structure is given below:
