NIFTEM will follow the similar procedure for MBA admission as per latest circular uploaded by AICTE. The preference will be given to those candidates who have appeared in CAT/MAT /XAT/GMAT and similar test as per APH 2020-21 (AICTE Handbook) and fall in the cut off list as decided by the institute for these tests. The Merit list of such candidates will be prepared on the basis of their CAT/ MAT Score/ Percentile. 

However, those candidates who are not in the merit list after cut off will automatically be considered as per their marks obtained in the qualifying exam along with Non CAT/MAT/Other similar test as per APH 2020-21 candidates. Further, the merit list of such candidates will be prepared on the basis of latest result available as uploaded on portal in application form.

Eligibility Crtieria

The eligibility criterion for admission to MBA Program is Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in relevant discipline, with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% in the case of SC/ST), or equivalent CGPA.

NIFTEM MBA 2021 Selection Process

The selection procedure to MBA Programme is based on last two years' valid score of CAT/MAT and an Internal-Test for Non-CAT/MAT category applicants (including those not shortlisted through CAT/MAT). The final selection of shortlisted candidates will be made on the basis of GD/PI, past academic performance, and work experience.

As per the past practice, NIFTEM shall admit MBA candidates by a two stage process: 

1. short listing of eligible applicant through CAT/MAT/NIFTEM entrance test;
2. GD/PI of shortlisted candidates to be conducted at NIFTEM. The MBA candidates who are not shortlisted (as per the decision of Scrutiny and short listing committee to be proposed by HoD-FBM) based on their CAT/MAT score would be allowed to appear in MBA entrance test.

Final Merit list of candidates would be prepared on the basis of performance of candidate in GD/PI, past academic records and relevant work experience. MBA counselling process shall start with the declaration of list of qualified candidates to attend the online counselling starting from 5th August 2020 onwards.

Exam Pattern

The written test of 90 minutes conducted for Non-CAT/MAT category applicants ((including those not shortlisted through CAT/MAT) shall consist of fifty (50) objective type questions of 2 marks each. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer(s). The question paper would consist of three sections as given below:
