Two labourers A and B are paid a total of Rs. 650 per day. If A is paid 160 percent of what is paid to B, how much (in Rs.) is B paid?
1). 250
2). 400
3). 350
4). 450
Let A get Rs. X and B get Rs. (650 - X)
Wages of A = 160% of wages of B
X = 160/100 × (650 - X)
⇒ 10X = 16 × 650 - 16X
⇒ X = 16 × 650/26 = 400
∴ Wages of B = 650 - 400 = Rs. 250
