Let the distance be d km.

We know that,

Distance = Speed/Time

$( \Rightarrow \;\frac{d}{8} + \frac{d}{{12}} = 15)$

$( \Rightarrow \;\frac{{3d + 2d}}{{24}} = 15)$

⇒ d = 72 km
