Let the number of 10 paise coins be c.

∴ number of 25 paise coins = 90 – c

Given in question,

Coins amount to a total sum of Rs 18.45 = 1845 paise

⇒ 10 × c + (90 – c) × 25 = 1845

⇒ 10c + 2250 – 25c = 1845

⇒ 405 = 15c

⇒ c = 27

∴ number of 25 paise coins = 90 – 27 = 63

Ratio of number of 10 paise coins to 25 paise coins = 27 : 63 = 3 : 7
