[(1 - sin2θ) sec2θ + tan2 θ] cos2 θ + 1

= [cos2θ.sec2θ + tan2θ] cos2θ + 1

= (1 + tan2θ) cos2θ + 1

= sec2θ.cos2θ + 1

= 1 + 1 = 2
