In the following passage, there are blanks, each of which has been numbered. The numbers are printed below the passage and against each five words are suggested, one of which fits the blank appropriately. Find out the appropriate word in each case.

The correct answer is 3. 

The passage refers to some technological procedures (such as wireless connectivity, mobile payments) which have become quite popular in the modern days and are evolving eventually. Therefore, the correct word for this blank should be 'emerging' as it means evolving.
