According to the given information,

Area of one Onyx Tile = 16 × 20 = 320 cm2

Area of square room = (side)2 = (4)2 = 16 m2 = 160000 cm2

Number of Onyx tiles required = (Area of square room)/(Area of each Onyx tile)

= 160000/320 = 500

∴ 500 Onyx tiles are required to cover the required square floor.
