The ratio of Hindi speakers to Tamil speakers is 1 ? 2.
Total no. of Tamil speakers is less than English speakers by 780 and 70% of the total employees can speak English.
So, No. of Tamil speakers = ((70/100) × 1500) - 780 = 270
According to the question,
Hindi ? Tamil = 1 : 2
⇒ 1/2 = x/270
⇒ x = 270/2 = 135
Thus, No. of Hindi speakers = 135
The non-English speakers contain 10% Tamil speakers who can also speak Hindi.
No. of Tamil Speakers who can speak Hindi
= 10% of (30% of total employees) = 10% of (30/100 × 1500) = 10/100 × 450 = 45
∴ Percentage of Hindi speakers that can speak Tamil = 45/135 × 100 = 33.33%
