Total provision (in men days) = 500 × 27 = 13500

After 3 days, provision left (in men days) = 13500 – 3 × 500 = 13500 – 1500 = 12000

Now, total new number of men = 500 + 300 = 800

Hence provision will last for = 12000/800 = 15 days
