Gauged cement Mortar:

This is a mortar which is obtain by adding cement to lime mortar and then mixed with sand. The usual proportion of cement, lime and sand are 1 : 1 : 6, 1 : 2 : 9, and 1 : 3 : 12.

These mortars should be used within 30 minutes of adding water.
