I. a2 + 4a = 0

⇒ a(a + 4) = 0

Then, a = 0 or a = -4

II. b2 + 9b + 20 = 0

⇒ b2 + 4b + 5b + 20 = 0

⇒ b(b + 4) + 5(b + 4) = 0

⇒ (b + 5)(b + 4) = 0

Then, b = - 5 or b = -4

So, when a = 0, a > b for b = -5 and a > b for b = -4

And when a = -4, a > b for b = -5 and a = b for b = -4

∴ So, we can observe that a ≥ b.
