The only correct option is option 2. When we say work, it generally means workplace. So we can't us ‘in’ here. In is used for countries or states etc. Here, we must use ‘at work.’  Also, since this is just reporting of a past event, we can't use ‘gets or get’ in present tense. It should be ‘got into an.’ 

So, option 2 is correct.
