The radius of base of a right circular cone is 4 cm. Its height is 1 cm less than the radius of base.

So, height will be 3 cm.

⇒ Slant height = √ (4 × 4 + 3 × 3) = 5 cm

∴ Curved surface area = π RL = 3.14 × 4 × 5 = 62.8 square cm
