  • In 1895, during his study of the discharge through gases at very low pressure, German professor W.K. Roentgen accidentally discovered X-rays.?
  • He observed that there was some radiation coming from the discharge tube that had the ability to penetrate through objects which were opaque to ordinary light. These rays were called X-rays or Roentgen rays.
