Average Height of 50 bats = sum of height of 50 bats/number of bats

⇒ 126 = Sum of height of 50 bats/50

⇒ Sum of height of 50 bats = 6300

Now,

Let x bats of average height 120 cm are removed, then

⇒ Sum of heights of x bats = average × number of bats = 120x

Also,

⇒ Remaining bats = 50 - x

⇒ Sum of heights of (50 - x) bats = average × number of bats = 130(50 - x) = 6500 - 130x

According to question,

⇒ 6300 = 120x + 6500 - 130x

⇒ 10x = 200

⇒ x = 20

∴ Remaining bats = 50 - 20 = 30
