The sentence uses the form increase pressure of$, which is incorrect and needs improvement.

The correct form here should be 'increasing pressure of'.

The only alternative that improves the sentence is B.

None of the other alternatives can make the sentence meaningful.

Therefore, the correct answer is option 2.
