  • Vice Admiral MA Hampiholi, AVSM NM assumed charge as Director General Naval Operations on 27 March 2019.
  • He is a graduate of the National Defence Academy and was commissioned in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy on 01 July 1985.
  • He is a recipient of the Nao Sena Medal in 2011 and the Athi Vishist Seva Medal in 2019.
