Curmudgeon means a bad-tempered or surly person. $Culpable means deserving blame. Convulsive means producing spasms or jerks.$

Out of the given options, only 'cunvalescence'$ is spelt incorrectly. Its correct spelling should be 'convalescence'$, which means time spent recovering from an illness.$

e.g. I had spent a year of convalescence in the quiet town of Bath.

Therefore, the correct answer is option 2.
