Let initial wickets taken be x

Total runs = 24.85x

New average = 24.85 - 0.85 = 24

Total wickets = x + 5

Total runs = 24(x + 5)

24(x + 5) - 24.85x = 52 ⇒ 80

Total initial wickets taken = 80
