Quantity of milk in 30 litre mixture = $\frac{30}{10}\times7$ = 21 liters

Quantity of water = $\frac{30}{10}\times3$ = 9litres

Suppose x litres more water is
added.

According to question,

$\Rightarrow\frac{21}{x+9}$=$\frac{3}{7}$

$\Rightarrow$ 9 + x = 49
$\Rightarrow$ x = 40 litres
