The correct answer is option 3, i.e. AB.

The error is in parts A and B.

In A, ‘was’ is incorrect as ‘Nine needles’ is plural and not singular, thus, it must be replaced with ‘were’.

In B, 'the' is incorrect and should be replaced with 'a' since the hospital is not specified. 

Hence, the sentence can be corrected as,

Nine needles were removed from the throat of a 14-year-old girl at a government-run hospital in West Bengal after a four-hour surgery. Doctors found one needle at the back of the girl's throat and eight near the food pipe after an x-ray.
