Hanna bought 20 kg of wheat at the rate of Rs. 8.50 per kg and 35 kg at the rate of Rs. 8.75 per kg. He mixed the two. At what price per kg should he sell the mixture to make 40% profit at the cost price?
1). Rs. 12
2). Rs. 15
3). Rs. 16
4). Rs. 20
CP = 20 × 8.5 + 35 × 8.75 = 476.25
Profit = 40%
Selling Price of mixture per kg = $(\frac{{\left( {100{\rm{\;}} + {\rm{\;Profit\% }}} \right)}}{{100}} \times {\rm{CP}})$
$(= \frac{{100{\rm{\;}} + {\rm{\;}}40}}{{100}} \times 476.25 = 666.75)$
Total quantity = 20 + 35 = 55 kg
SP per kg = $(\frac{{666.75}}{{55}} \approx 12)$
∴ The Selling Price of the mixture is Rs. 12 per kg5. What will come in place of question mark '?' in the following number series? 15, 8, 9, 15,32, ?
