Two trains 96 m and 72 m long run at the speeds of 68 km/h and 44 km/h respectively, in opposite directions on parallel tracks.

As, the two trains are running in opposite direction, so the relative speed will be

= 68 + 44 = 112 km/hr.

∴ They will cross each other after = [(96 + 72)/1000]/112 = (3/2000) × 3600 = 5.4 seconds.
