As soon as a passenger train enters the platform, a stray dog starts chasing the train till the end of platform. The train was 200 m long. The platform was 1600 m long. Driver of the train however finds that the dog is not running at all, only pretending to run as neither it moves ahead nor lags behind during the whole time train crosses the platform. But a person standing on the platform tells that the dog was running at a speed of 60 m/s. What was the speed of the train?

As the driver inside the train observes that the dog was not running, the relative speed of the dog was zero.

∴ Speed of dog = Speed of train = 60 m/s

⇒ (60 × 18)/5 = 216 km/hr
