Words D and E have been interchanged.

(D) :- here ‘survival’ is the correct word. The meaning of ‘survival’ is ‘the state or fact of continuing to live or exist’. ‘pathways that cancer cells preferentially choose for their survival’ forms a meaningful phrase.

(E) :- here ‘team’ is the correct word. ‘co-led the team’ forms a meaningful phrase. Since a group of scientists work on a project, therefore ‘team’ is the most suitable word.

Other words are placed correctly.

Correct sentence – ‘“This way we were able to differentiate the biochemical pathways that cancer cells preferentially choose for their survival,” says Dr. Swagatika Sahoo, a INSPIRE faculty at the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras who co-led the team.
