Given that,

(-5x)/3 + 2 = x – 6

⇒ (-5x + 6)/3 = x – 6

⇒ –5x + 6 = 3x – 18

⇒ –5x –3x = –18 – 6

⇒ –8x = –24

x = 24/8 = 3

∴ Value of x is 3
