Let the total income be denoted by Rs. X. According to the question:

$(\Rightarrow \frac{2}{5} \times X + \frac{1}{3} \times X + 3000 = X)$

$(\Rightarrow X - \frac{{11}}{{15}}X = 3000)$

$(\Rightarrow \frac{4}{{15}}X = 3000)$

⇒ X = Rs. 11, 250

Hence, the total income of the person is Rs. 11, 250.
