Let the speed of Good’s train be y km/hr

Distance travelled by it in 8 hours = 8y km

Relative Speed = 100 – y km/hr

Since passenger trains overtakes goods train in 6 hours

So, 8y = 6 × (100 – y)

14y = 600

y = 42.86 km/hr
