Let the number be x and y. According to the question, x + y = 45 ......... (i) Again, x – y =$\frac{1}{9}$(X+Y) or x – y =$\frac{1}{9}$X 45 or x – y = 5 ..... (ii) By (i) + (ii) we have, x + y = 45 $\frac{X-Y=5}{2X}=50$ or, x = 25 y = 45 – 25 = 20. Now, LCM of 25 and 20 = 100
