1 + 3 + 5 + ....... + 99
= (1+ 2 + 3 + 4 + ....... + 100)
– (2 + 4 + 6 ..... + 100)
= (1+ 2 + 3 + 4 + ....... + 100)
– 2(1 + 2 + 3 ..... + 50)

50 ×101 – 50 × 51
= 50 (101–51) = 50 × 50
= 2500
