EXPLANATION : 

Indian Guru and philosopher Adi Shankara consolidated the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta.

He mainly preached Non-Dualism :  the idea that the absolute  ("Brahman") alone is real and the individual soul ("Jiva") is not different from it.
