MET Gorakhpur 2021: Application Form, Exam Date

The admissions in different undergraduate and post graduate programs being offered in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur shall be made through the Malaviya Entrance Test (MET) and counseling conducted under the supervision and control of the University Admission Committee (UAC). The UAC has authority for conducting the admission process, and to decide about the modalities of admissions, allotment of seats and all matters related to the admissions in the University with the approval of Vice Chancellor, MMMUT, Gorakhpur.

The admissions shall be made in the following courses offered at the University through MET for the academic year 2021-22.

1. 4 year B.Tech./3 year B.Tech.(Lateral Entry in B.Tech.-II)
2. 3 year BBA
3. 2 year MBA
4. 3 year MCA
5. 2 year M.Tech.
6. 2 year M.Sc. Physics.
7. 2 year M.Sc. Maths 
8. 2 year M.Sc. Chemistry 
9. Ph.D. (Regular)

Eligibility Crtieria

Details about the eligibility criteria for the courses available in MMMUT Gorakhpur

B.Tech. First Year:

The candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examination with at least 55%marks (50%in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) and with at least 60% average marks (55%in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

2nd Year B.Tech:

1. Diploma holders: Passed 3/4 year diploma examination from an institution recognized by U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of engineering/technology except agriculture engineering with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category).
2. B.Sc. graduates: Passed 3/4 year B.Sc. degree from any recognized University of India as defined by UGC with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) and having passed 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a subject.

The candidates belonging to B.Sc. stream shall be considered only after filling the seats with the candidates belonging to the diploma stream.

BBA:

The candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examination in any discipline, with at least 55% marks (50% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) and English must be one of the subjects at 10+2 level. 

MBA:

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any University of India as recognized by UGC with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

MCA:

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any University of India as defined by UGC with mathematics at 10+2 level and obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

M. Sc. Physics:

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree in science stream of minimum three years duration from any University of India as recognized by UGC. The candidates must have passed qualifying examination with Physics as a subject for all the three years and with mathematics as another subject for at least two years and obtained minimum 50%marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

M. Sc. Mathematics:

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree in science stream of minimum three years duration from any University of India as recognized by UGC. The candidates must have passed qualifying examination with Mathematics as a subject for all the three years and obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

M. Sc. Chamistry:

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree in science stream of minimum three years duration from any University of India as recognized by UGC. The candidates must have passed qualifying examination with Chemistry as a subject for all the three years and obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

More details about the Malviya Entrance Exam 2021:

1. Every objective type question would carry Four marks for correct answer.
2. There will be minus one (-1)mark for each wrong answer.
3. A record of incorrect answers given by a candidate will be kept separately.
4. Zero marks will be awarded for unanswered questions.
5. All objective type questions are required to be answered on specially designed OMR answer sheet against the respective question number.
6. Answers are to be marked using ball point pen (black/blue) only. For the purpose of evaluation, the details filled in by the candidate in the OMR answer sheet will be accepted as final.
