Let's find out the meanings of given options:-

Affluent: A group or an area having a great deal of money or being wealthy.$

Toady: a person who behaves obsequiously to someone important.$

Advocate: a person who puts a case on someone else's behalf.$

Rescind: revoke, cancel, or repeal (a law, order, or agreement).$

Clearly, option 3 i.e. advocate best describes the above-mentioned phrase. Hence, it is the correct option.$
