  • In an isolated system, the total momentum remains constant.
  • The Law of  Conservation of momentum states that the sum of momenta (Plural form of Momentum) of two objects before the collision is equal to the sum of momenta of two objects after the collision provided that there is no external force acting on it.
  • In an isolated system as there is no external force, hence total momentum will remain constant.
