In this question, a single sentence has been broken into five different parts and we need to find out the logical sequence. In order to do that, consider the following:

Decide on the opening phrase, first. The first part of the sentence contains the subject, i.e. part D as the sentence is based on the science of television. After this, D is joined with B with help of a conjunction 'and' and further it is joined by a pronoun 'its' which is in part C of the sentence. Thus, option 2 is the correct answer.

Correct Sentence: The science of television is highly sophisticated and based on a delicate system of filming and recording. It's working does not consist in storing or recording an image, it rather catches and reflects an image like a mirror, the image dies as soon as it is seen.
