Time taken by U, V and W together to make a chair = 20 min

Time taken by U and V together to make a chair = 25 min

Let total work = LCM of 20 and 25 = 100 units

Efficiency of U, V and W together = 100/20 = 5 units/min

Efficiency of U and V together = 100/25 = 4 units/min

Efficiency of W = 5 – 4 = 1 unit/min

∴ Time taken by W to make a chair alone = 100 × 1 = 100 min
