The blank is looking for a word that is synonymous with something that is commonly found or distributed over a large area or number of people. Thus, ‘widespread’ is the best word to fit the blank. ‘Arduous’ means difficult. ‘Ceaseless’ means unstoppable. ‘Strewn’ means spread untidily. ‘Affirmed’ means to confirm.
