Let the marked price be x

After giving first discount, the cost will be = x - 0.1x = 0.9x

After giving second discount, the cost will be = 0.9x - (0.9x × 20/100) = 0.72x

Discount = x - 0.72x = 0.28x

Hence, Discount % = 28%
