By given data-

As profit will be in proportion to invested money.

Atul’s investment part ? Nishant’s investment part = 8400 × 8 ? 11400 × 12

∴ Atul’s investment part ? Nishant’s investment part = 67200 ? 136800

∴ Atul’s investment part ? Nishant’s investment part = 28 ? 57

Let’s assume common multiplication constant be x.

∴ Atul invested 28x money and Nishant invested 57x money.

∴ Atul invested 28x parts out of 85x parts. & Nishant invested 57x parts out of 85.

Total profit = 17000 Rs.

∴ 85x = 17000

∴ x = 200

To find the difference between profit of Atul & Nishant-

Nishant’s profit - Atul’s profit = 57x - 28x

∴ Nishant’s profit - Atul’s profit = 29x

∴ Nishant’s profit - Atul’s profit = 29 × 200

∴ Nishant’s profit - Atul’s profit = 5800 Rs.
