'Collude' means to come to a secret understanding; conspire. 'Allude' means to suggest or call attention to indirectly; hint at. 'Collide' means to hit by accident when moving. 'Associate'  means to connect (someone or something) with something else in one's mind. The sentence is in a negative sense and only 'collude' fits the context.
