  • The blood gets filtered in the kidney through the process of osmosis.
  • Osmosis is the diffusion of water and other substances in it based on the water potential of a place.
  • The tubule of the nephron in the kidney is surrounded by tiny blood vessels, called capillaries. By osmosis, substances that your body can still use get reabsorbed. The filtrate within the tubule of the nephron consists of water, ions, glucose and other useful small molecules at high concentrations.
