The first sentence of any paragraph introduces an idea or topic which the whole paragraph talks about. It should talk about something general and not the specific details which will only come later. $Hence the 1st sentence is R as it introduces the topic of the French Revolution.

The 2nd sentence is given. S is the 3rd sentence since it gives information on one of the far-reaching effects mentioned in 2.

P should follow S since it starts with 'however' which makes it a contradictory statement to S. Hence P is the 4th sentence.

The 5th sentence is given. Q is the 6th sentence since it gives more information on how the revolution began.

This leaves T as the last sentence.

The correct order is R2SPQT.

Hence the correct answer is option 4.
